Indoor or Outdoor padel courts? Which ones you should choose for your padel club

Before choosing whether to open an outdoor or indoor padel club, several factors should be examined that will prove essential to the success of the project and a profitable investment.

Indoor or Outdoor Padel Courts? Which ones you Should Choose for your Padel Club

The first phase that anyone preparing to open a new padel club has to face concerns the study of the project, and in this step one of the hottest topics falls on the choice between opting for indoor or outdoor courts and all the variables that each of these options presupposes.
In this article, we will try to summarize them all by giving you the basic elements to consider for a successful padel club.

As you can imagine, there is no one option that is better than the other in an absolute sense and both have pros and cons depending on the different factors that come into play such as geographic location, the budget you want to invest, the type of courts, and the slab's materials

When is it Better to Open an Indoor Padel Club? Index

Geographical location: in countries with humid climates, particularly rainy and cold in winter, it is highly recommended to opt for in-door courts in order to make them usable for everyone throughout the year thus generating an already high occupancy rate and therefore more profits.

Budget: making a cover for your padel courts is a big investment to have to make but it will be necessary to allow you to play in all seasons.
An alternative that is often considered is to opt for pressostatic balloons to be used only in winter, which are certainly cheaper than the classic tensile structures, or that of covering the padel courts at a later date.

Type of slab: if the slab already exists, has no slope for drainage, and is made entirely of reinforced concrete, it is advisable to cover padel courts at least in the winter season so as not to create water accumulation that would damage the mat. In contrast, for outdoor courts, we recommend a porous concrete or asphalt slab or, in the case of reinforced concrete, with a maximum slope of 1%.

Geographic location: countries with particularly dry climates, where rainfall is infrequent and winters are mild lend themselves particularly well to outdoor padel courts where players can enjoy a year-round outdoor experience.

Budget: when one has a limited budget, opting for outdoor courts without coverage can definitely be an advantageous choice as long as, as mentioned above, the Padel Club is located in a geographical location where there is little rain.

Quality and type of courts: there are certainly some types of padel courts that are particularly suitable for outdoor courts, and among them, it is impossible not to mention our Fiberglass Padel courts. Fiberglass is the only chemically rustproof material in this area and will ensure that the court structure will always look perfect over the years and prevent the risk of structural damage related to the spread of rust. In addition, our 100% permeable ZeroS turf will ensure that the court dries quickly and prevent moisture from pooling inside.

After considering all these factors you will be ready to finalize the design study phase that will bring your padel club to life, and as always, if you would like to learn more about all the advantages that our padel courts can ensure for your project's ultimate success in every respect, do not hesitate to contact us for immediate support from our team!
