Lebron and Galan return to success and answer breakup rumors.

The Boss German Padel Open in Düsseldorf, the first World Padel Tour tournament on German soil, closed last Sunday, with Galacticos Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan returning to success by winning their second title of the season after their victory at the Finland Open just a month ago.

The week of the two former world number ones, however, has been anything but quiet, even and especially off the court. In the last few days, in fact, insistent rumors began to appear for the first time in several industry magazines about a possible separation of the pair at the end of 2023, complicit in the results obtained during the year below expectations and a level of play far from the standards to which they had accustomed us. There were many, in fact, who were even already making predictions about the future partners of Lebron and Galan, speculating a crisis that was unlikely to lead to new success.

The Galacticos, however, do not seem to have listened to the off-court rumors or, if they did, they wanted to respond clearly and decisively by playing a simply perfect tournament. Indeed, the Spaniards showcased all the talent that until a little less than a year ago had made them the absolute rulers of the circuit, demonstrating technique but above all great mental solidity in the important moments of the match. Moreover, unlike what happened in Helsinki, where the Galacticos avoided the Coello-Tapia and Stupaczuk - Di Nenno pairs so much so that many spoke of a half-hearted victory, in Düsseldorf Lebron and Galan had to face them with all their might, defeating the former in the semifinals after 2 1/2 hours of play and triumphing 6-2 /6-2 over the latter in Sunday's final.

Ale y Juan could not have given a better response than this, and although rumors of their separation have yet to be either denied or confirmed, their success is certainly very good news that can only give a boost of confidence to them but also to all padel fans who have been fond of and inspired by the Spanish pair over the years.
